This storybook caught my attention because I love the song,
Hotel California. To my surprise it was an introduction about a haunted hotel
on Highway 13. The introduction then went on to explain how there is no longer
a 13th floor due to several gruesome murders. It was mentioned that
there have been multiple sightings of ghost seen throughout the hotel by guest.
The introduction was intriguing and definitely made me interest to read more. Overall,
I thought the layout of the page made it easy to read. I liked how the story
was step, starting with dialogue
This storybook was not what I expected. Based on the title I
thought the story would be story about a frog, it turns out the story is different
fairytales about three frogs written in a dairy format. Two out of the three
frogs are girls which I thought was a nice change and creative. I liked how the
introduction gave background to the different fairytales and how they came
about. Knowing that the four stories came from Russia, Italy, Asia, and Germany
really sparked my interest and made me excited to read on. Overall, I thought
the layout of the page was done well.
This storybook was my favorite to read because so often in
the world today we are surrounded by so much negativity and hate. It was nice
to read something the admits to failure but recognizes that without it there
would be no success. I am a firm believer of do all things with love, that’s why
I loved this storybook so much. I have never heard some of the tails that Cupid
and Kamadeva shared but I found them interesting. Overall, I thought the layout
was slightly hard to follow because of the back and forth dialogue.
