Topic Brainstorm

While looking through a list of project topics there were multiple topics that stood out to me. There are four topics that specifically stood out to me that I would be interested in doing my story book over.

1. OU Ghost Stories
As soon as I saw this topic I was instantly drawn to it. When I had my first tour of the University of Oklahoma they mentioned the history of the library and how must people believed it to be haunted. This idea intrigued me. During my sophomore year  I went on a ghost tour around the campus, the idea that parts of our campus are haunted has always interest me. I would like to learn more about why people think our campus is haunted and where.

2. Cookbook
I have always enjoyed cooking. Growing up cooking dinner was a way for my family to spend quality time together. Every Sunday my family would create a menu for the week and we would all pitch in to prepare the meal, set the table, and clean up. This became one of my favorite family traditions. Once I went to college and moved into my own house with my roommates this tradition carried over. While in college our schedules made it harder to coordinate a meal together so instead we try to all sit down and eat together one to two times a week. Cooking has always been something that I believe brings people together.

3. Bible Stories
During my time abroad in Europe, we visited many different cathedrals and saw many biblical paintings. My classmates and I entered this one cathedral in Arezzo and our professor was explaining the mural. As he was breaking down the images on the ceiling he explained that this mural was based off a some stories that were taken out of the bible because it made God look "bad". Our professor continued to say that there has been multiple stories left out of the bible. I would like to do more research on this and find out if this is true and if so why.

4. Saints
I am a cradle Catholic, which means I was born and raised into a Catholic family. When I was in 9th grade I was confirmed into the church, meaning that I was reaffirming that I would continue to follow the Catholic Church and raise my kids Catholic. Before your Confirmation you have to take two years of classes and pick a saint name. My saint name is St. Abigail. I choose this saint because my sisters name is Abigail and her characteristics matched mine. I would like to learn more about my saint, as well as other saints.
