While reading The Fables of Aesop by Joseph Jacobs there were multiple things that I wold like to incorporate into my own story. I liked how the short stories gave you an insight into the characters personality based on their actions and how the other characters acted around them. For example in the stories about the lions all the other characters feared the noble lion but as soon as the lion was weak they were no longer afraid but seeking revenge against all the wrong he committed. I also liked how each story was short and straight to the point. There was always an underlying message to each short story, which I would like to incorporate into my own story. For example for The Lion in Love the message was "Love can tame the wildest". Another thing I liked was that each short story seemed to fit together due to a common theme. All of the stories did a great job on using words that allowed the reader to visualize the scene and the actions that were taking place. I want to focus on doing the same for my story. After reading part A of The Fables of Aesop I got a lot of ideas for what I want to use in my story.
