After reading The Fables of Aesop by Joseph Jacobs part B, I picked up on a couple techniques I would like to use for my own story. I really liked the introductions of the stories, the author did a good job of setting the scene and making the reader feel like they were standing at that exact place. For example in The Mountains in Labour, the author describes the mountains as going into labor, "smoke came out of their summits, the earth was quaking at their feet, trees were crashing, and huge rocks were tumbling". This provides a very vivid image of what the mountains looked like and what the characters saw. It was almost as you experienced the same fear that they did because you could imagine the scene. In my story I want to write a story full of imagery that makes the reader feel what the characters are feeling.
