Reading Notes: Native American Hero Tales, part A

After reading the Native American Hero Tales part A from the Tales of the North American Indians by Stith Thompson I became inspired. The characterization throughout the stories gave me a lot of ideas for my own story. I would love to base my next story off of The Jealous Uncle. I have always really liked stories about a hero and a villain. In my own story, I could easily portray a character similar to unnatural uncle. I also loved how the story took place over three different readings. When writing my next story I would like to end it with a cliff hanger so that I can write a part two to the story. I think by doing this it will create suspense for my readers and they will be eagerly awaiting to find out what happens next.
